well after my 16 day vacation I returned to work on a local job working out of cecilia ky.  first move of the day was take a couple bulkheads of lumber to vine grove, along the way about mp 39 on the mainline my gp38-2's main generator takes a crap.  needless to say this took several hours to clear up and made for one long, boring, hours of service pushing day. sigh..... I'm thinking I shouldve used one more personal day  ;D  but I did sneak in a few shots of my crazy first day back.
"The engineer in the old high cab his gold watch in his hand, looking at the waterglass and letting down the sand, rolling out on the old main line taking up the slack, gone today so they say but tomorrow he'll be back...."

You got paid to sit...just sounds like more vacation to me:)

From the engineers I have talked to... they rather be running then sitting. Which I would have to agree with... I would rather be welding than waiting for a roll-by!
