Be warned, there isn't one once of NS content here, so thats why this is in the off topic  lounge.....if you want to see NS, move on....

I was on the way home from a business trip to  Illinois and Indiana this evening (Sunday 08/12) and was Southbound on US 37 near Orleans Ind when i spotted the tail end of a slow moving CSX rack train on the old Monon. I have been driving that stretch of road off and on for a couple of months now and haven't seen a thing save for the tail end of one  INRD train late one night. I was running late this evening, but the light was perfect and I had the chance to shoot a pair of trains with some of the last in-service semaphores in this part of the country, so I took the time to make it happen.

A Southbound CSX train was stopped at the North end of the at Orleans Ind, waiting on a Northbound INRD (Indiana Railroad) train with a pair of CP Beaver Boats.  Both trains where holding out until the csx train got lined into the siding for they could more or less make running meet without blocking up all the crossings in town, giving me the chance to shoot them both in less than 5 minutes, and still have time to drive another 2.5 hours and be at home in time for supper...:)

Agreed there. If those sema's EVER go out of service, I hope to buy one. Gotta love the old Monon.
