Some of the pictures from the chase of NS 56G and NKP 8100.

NS 56G hustles through the small town of Burgin.

NS 56G waits for fuel at Danville Yards

NS 56G clears the South Fork holdout signal, as the sucker hole that was once there, closed up as NKP arrived

Nice pics . . . . in full daylight, too.

It was 3:14 AM when that same train rolled by my house yesterday morning, so I only saw #8100 with the help of flood lights in my back yard.

At least the crew had honked long and hard as they approached the house, to wake me (and the entire neighorhood) up to alert us of the heritage unit coming through.

Note: Perhaps it was the same NS crew that did the same thing last week, honking big-time when UP 1996 rolled by pre-dawn.
