I'm in my basement trying to stay warm right now, and started taking some pics from different angles of my N scale layout.

Here's the coal breaker and a Reading coal drag. Also hanging out with my dog Madle (May-dull) who loves beer, is 12.5 years old, and unfortunately has a mass that can't be operated on by the vet. I've spent many many hours trackside with her and am going to be sad when the time comes for her to go.

Anyway, she's happy now and sharing a Becks with me, enjoy the pics!

Sort of looks like Rosco, or maybe Fred from Smokey and the Bandit.

Nice Dan. Love the Reading BEE LINE scheme of green and yellow (thank you NS). However, your post does bring up a question... Why is there a "old beast" can in your pick instead of Beck's or Yuengling( which I believe is right down the road from you ) LOL! Other Dan

Great question Dan!

I've spent decades now perfecting the answer to those that question me for drinking cheep beer. Here it goes.

"While I maintain a refined palate for beer, it is by no means discriminating."

Seriously though, I have been brewing my own beer since about 1996, and used to help my dad when he got started back in about 1982 or so. I really do appreciate good beer (I said good which means without pumpkin or cranberries, etc.) but don't care what I have in front of me.

I took the profile pic during a dad/brother/me trip to Cresson from the footbridge at Cassandra. My dad was driving so my bro and I brought a 30 pack of old mil along to the bridge after pizza and wings. We left that night with a ticked off dad because we had all of our old mil and had to dip into his Genny light stash.

Anyway, my short answer should have been I like beer and am not a snob.

On a side note I've toured the Yuengling Brewery in Pottsville, PA at least 29 times.

Have a great night!

Nice looking layout and partner. Lost mine six weeks ago this Monday. You just have to cherish the time you have then the memories will get you through the rest.

Probably because we're on a railroad forum and his proper name is Rosco Pee Coaltrain.

Thanks! Sorry to hear about your loss. For now she and I are walking every night down to the tracks, and she's on the same diet as I am which does include SPAM and beer from time to time. We're having fun and enjoying what we got left.

Sounds good. I hope you have many more days together.
