After an evening of celebration with family and friends I took the dog out for the last walk of the night. I heard a horn and knew it meant one thing. A crew was hard at work making a run during the curtailed holiday ops schedule. In keeping with tradition here is the JREB Christmas poem.

T'was the night before Christmas
And all through the system
Things were quiet
Thanks to NS wisdom

When from the North End Desk there arose such a clatter
That the dispatcher  answered to see what was the matter.

Rockport  needs steel and real railroaders don't rest
61A is ready to go west

Check box two and get them EMD's humming
West Talmage to Dumesnil no time for GE's burning.

West Talmage, Waddy, Coal Chute and Joyes
Go right on by, no meets tonight boys

The railroad is yours, and we won't put up a fight
Keep them wheels rolling on this holiest of nights.

Merry Christmas yall!!

The Jreb Team wishes everyone a happy healthy safe holiday.
Enjoy the day with family and friends, and don't forget to remember those that can't spend the day with family or friends.

As I finally laid down in the bed last night, it hit me that I had FORGOT this tradition..thanks for backing me up Jason. I wrote that several years ago, and doubt a lot of our new members have ever seen it..

Tradition it is... :)
