I have to say I was impressed when I woke up this morning, and I don't impress easily when it comes to the predictions of weather.   They said snow, and we got it.  There was around 4 inches on the ground here at JREB world HQ, and every mile you went South meant just a little more snow.

Carmon and myself where up early but hung around the house all morning, playing in the snow with the dogs and giving the road crews time to get things a little better. The RR was slow anyway, so we didnt venture out until after 1300.  NS only ran Two Eastbound on the Louisville District all afternoon, and those are the ones we went after. Both 285 and 23G had former Conrail GE's leading, but there was snow so here we go...

NS 285 at the East end of Talmage (KY) siding.

285 again at Harrodsburg...we JUST beat him from Talmage to here thanks to the road condidtions.

After we had our fill of the 285, we went driving around check out the scenery and waited on 23G.  He finally showed up in the late afternoon after I had given up and went back to the house. Hearing him on the radio we up the road to the James Farm to shoot him there.

That was about it for the day. We are planning on shooting all day Sunday, so look for more from the KY snow later in the weekend.
