Rode over to Burgin,KY today to catch something different than CSX. The weather was somewhat uncooperative, with the sun going into hiding just as I arrived in Burgin. Saw seven trains in Burgin, heard several more on the Louisville Division and south of Danville, going to have to search for some more spots south of Danville,I guess.

First train I managed to get without having to sit in the car due to rain,a northbound intermodal train.

BNSF 5049 leads a former Conrail unit on a NS 197.

Another southbound intermodal train.

The train that made the trip worthwhile. NS Train 143 with NS #9254 in OLS paint scheme, followed by a former Conrail unit, with a BNSF #706 in Warbonnet paint following behind that. I've never caught a warbonnet before, we had one go through over here on the Main Line Sub south of Louisville earlier this year, but I couldn't catch that one.

Saw eight trains on NS total, also got back over to Glendale just in time to catch a southbound grain train with a few minutes of  daylight to spare. The Burgin trip was great, get tired of same ol CSX over here, hardly ever see any run through power like UP or BNSF anymore. Few years ago it was split down the middle, half CSX, half  UP/BNSF/Rent-a-wreck
