Here is my contribution, westbound stack train 21G cresting the summit east of Cresson, PA on the Pittsburgh Line. Thankfully an all black consist this day instead of the usual BNSF stuff thrown in.

This is a view of the Pocahontas Branch taken atop the tunnel that goes under state route 102 at Wolfe, WV. Although no train is illustrated in the photo, the freshly fallen snow highlights the toll of time on this historical branch of the N&W.  Enjoy.

Not technically winter (Dec. 21-Mar. 20) it was quite cold on this late October day in Asheville as N&W 611 refueled.
