After dinner Friday night, I decided to head out to see what was shaking around Danville, and just to get out of the house for a few hours. I found myself in yard about the same time as a 275 arrived off the Louisville District. He had a groovy ol Conrail SD60 leading that just begged to be photographed under the romantic glow of the Sodium Mercury street lights...And no, there is no photoshop trickery here...the paint on this sucker IS that bad, seemed to be turning purple!

DV was not at all busy so I headed out to the wye and followed a 287 West for awhile, just stopping and watching in a few places. Stopped by the yard at Lawrenceburg to find the local power tied down for the night in the old housetrack "behind the depot"  with a switch panel car. Guess they had to tie up here with that car to keep the high/wide from being a problem next to the mainline.
