Knoxville West End - New Signals

I discovered today that a new bi-directional signal has been installed at MP 133.9A (Tobler Lane). Previously, there were signals for each direction located on both sides of the tracks. What is interesting is the westbound signal now is capable of displaying two aspects- instead of the previous one. One possibility is that the additional aspect could be used to display an approach diverging aspect for the next signal, Bearden, which is also a 7,714 foot long siding. Bearden is only used to store and/or run around equipment, etc. 

I will do more investigating.
