i know i vented a few weeks ago about them, but they did take these 2 from the weekend of mine. rejected some others which were questionable.

Amtrak 975, led by Bennett Levin's  E8's round the curve near Cresson. With all the railfans and foamers on the mountain, me and Matt Ryan were the only two in this location.

This was definately a phoam-free weekend for myself and Tom G. in terms of shooting. Other than AR in Gallitzin, all of our shot locations were abandoned except for us. It was a rather peaceful time all things considered...like the mob at the Museum in Altoona.

They can be tough, and sometimes unreasonably so in the opinion of many of us who get rejected :-\

I tried off and on for a year to get something accepted there with no success.  Then I bought a DSLR and Photoshop Elements software for post processing.  I still got lots of rejections at first, but with help from the people at the forums at RailPictures I finally had some luck, and in a matter of about 10 weeks I now have around 55 shots accepted there.  It seems to me that once you get rolling with them they become used to your work and you get used to what they want so getting shots accepted is easier.

Anyway here is a link to my stuff if anyone is interested.

More to the point of the thread, how I wish I could have been there to photograph these PRR classics!  They remind me so much of  my youth in Greensburg, Pennsylvania when my dad worked for the Pennsy and I got to see power like this up close!  Nice shots, and thanks for posting them!
