Marietta/Atlanta Area...

I'll be in Marietta/ Atlanta all week (Sunday night to Friday) on business, and I was wondering if anyone had any hot spots to check out in the evenings after I get free. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  A CSX route.
The best action, is about 20 miles north, to Emerson, GA.  Go to the US41 bridge, over GA293.  Park anywhere, just be on the scanner, to see the southbound action under that bridge!
It's the ruling grade for Georgia, on the CSX.

While I was in town I didn't get much of a chance to get out and railfan, but I did make a trip to the Museum in Kennesaw, and then I hung around the area a little bit with no luck on CSX action, which may explain why I returned unscathed.
