I wanted to take a minute and wish everyone here a Merry Christmas from Carmon & Myself, and from the entire staff here at Jreb.  2014 has been a great year, and lets hope the momentum continues in 2015!

Way back on Christmas Eve of 2005, I penned a little tribute to the hard working folks on the NS that will be working tonight and on Christmas, and each year since then, we always have someone ask for it, so here it is...

T'was the night before Christmas
And all through the system
Things were quiet
Thanks to NS wisdom

When from the North End Desk there arose such a clatter
That the dispatcher  answered to see what was the matter.

Rockport  needs steel and real railroaders don't rest
61A is ready to go west

Check box two and get them EMD's humming
West Talmage to Dumesnil no time for GE's burning.

West Talmage, Waddy, Coal Chute and Joyes
Go right on by, no meets tonight boys

The railroad is yours, and we won't put up a fight
Keep them wheels rolling on this holiest of nights.

Merry Christmas yall!!

Thanks EM for sharing that traditional JREB classic. Visions of Throughbreeds speeding through Kings Mountain may be on the mind, but let's all remember that the rails are quieting down tonight for a reason. Merry Christmas all. Remember Jesus is the reason for the season.

Very well said both of you. I noticed a small Christmas tree by the tracks last night and thought what a wonderful thing to do. Merry Christmas to everyone. May we all have many more fun filled days watching those beauties polishing the rail.
