It seems as if almost everyone has been getting some snow as of late. Snow shots always seem to be a favorite in the winter, so lets see your favorite snow shots for this contest. We wilk take entries until February 22. As always, the usual rules apply.

Here's mine of 22a taking the siding at Waddy to pass a m.o.w.  truck dropping tie plates

Ok I'll give it a shot with this contest, although I admit I am far from accomplished when it comes to snow photography.
First shot is of the ex-Reading searchlight signal at 22.2 on the Reading Line. Taken just after sunset on February 6, 2011 (Sorry no trains in this one).

Entry #1: manifest freight 13T heads eastbound on the Southern Tier Mainline on a sunny but cold morning less than 2 weeks ago.

Got questions? I can help you with the Erie Lackawanna (including predecessors), Lehigh Valley, Delaware & Hudson and the shortlines of upstate NY.

My Second Submission was taken on October 30, 2011 about 12 hours after a massive storm dumped over a foot of snow in Topton, PA where I live. We lost power for about 9 hours, which was nothing in comparison to some other nearby towns which were without for more than a week.
Here is a Westbound train rolling through what I call Topton's restaurant row. I live a block to the left of this train's power. Thanks for looking!

Emtry #2: westbound 309 makes the approach to Molasses Hill Road and passes the signals at MP 387 on the Southern Tier Mainline.

Photo taken by me Saturday 2/26/2011 in Linden, NY. About 18 inches of snow had fallen the previous day.
