With the much anticipated runs of 630 from Roanoke to Walton Saturday I left home around 7am after the stroms the night before had left much of my area without power. I caught up with the train at Wabun and then shot them at Shawsville. Next I shot them again near Shawsville on the return trip, this was not the shot I wanted. A road forman would not let me cross the tracks to get what I wanted and there was a crossing here.

Next I made it back to where I shot them the first time for another one. Then I shot them at Wabun crossing the Roanoke River.

Here are the only two shots I got on the afternoon westbound run Saturday. First is near Shawsville and the other at Walton. I was planning on Mongumery Tunnel and Vicker but could not make it to either place. They were on the list for Sunday but we never made it that far.

Here is the only shot I got of 630 Sunday at Glenvare. Last is a shot of a 814 rerouted coal train at Singer. The signals were still out on the Whitethorne and they did not have enough generators to go around so they just powered the Christiansburg side.

I thought 630 was down with bearing issues.

It is, these were all shot before the issues started.
