Late March / Early April NS Activity Ala. East End & Georgia North End

With the time change and spring officially here the number of great days to be track side is sure to improve. Yet cloudy skies and rain are still hanging around here in northwest Georgia. This past week did offer up a few days that were well worth the break from early season yard work to get track side.

NS 27A (BRUNSWICK GA VANCE ALA MT Auto Rack) with UP 4065 and four NS units rolls west into downtown Temple Georgia.


NS 226 (LOS ANGELES, CA (UP ZLCAI) - ATLANTA, GA) with a pair of UP units on the head end and one in DPU heads east at the Temple CP MP677.5 west end of the siding west of down town Temple.


NS 179 (BELLEVUE, OH - BIRMINGHAM, AL) re-route west bound over the Alabama East End meets NS 24E (DALLAS, TX (KCS IDAAT2) - ATLANTA, GA) east of Tallapoosa by the Tally Mountain golf course.

Noted a different use for a center beam wood car on this manifest???


NS 298 (MCCALLA, AL - ATLANTA, GA) east bound by the Waco grain silos MP 689.0


NS 736 (PRB – GP Scherer Loaded Coal) heads south on the #1 mail line at the Austell signal Off in the distance is G89 making a shove back into Whitaker Yard.


NS 290 (MCCALLA, AL - CROXTON, NJ) east bound meet with NS 23D (ATLANTA, GA - SHREVEPORT, LA (UP) at the west end of the Bremen / Sewell siding.


NS 226 (LOS ANGELES, CA (UP ZLCAI) - ATLANTA, GA) with trailing DPU UP2010 Boy Scout unit at Douglasville Georgia.


NS 27A (BRUNSWICK GA / VANCE ALA) west bound at CP Taylor on the Birmingham East End district


As I make this post, it is raining again and this week may be a washout for yard work or being track side.
