While cruising around Louisville today I stumbled into a tied down sd40 that caught my eye. Typically I'm a switcher only kinda guy with a warm spot for high hoods and early sd's, most recently the handful of snoot nosed 40's have peaked my interest. As luck would have it I found one of the very few NS units with low headlights, it instantly became a favorite of mine on the spot.
"The engineer in the old high cab his gold watch in his hand, looking at the waterglass and letting down the sand, rolling out on the old main line taking up the slack, gone today so they say but tomorrow he'll be back...."

Nice catch! I know alot of the "leased" SD40s NS is getting have low headlights. Some are having them moved to the top of the cab... at least that is what I heard. DE Dan

It's kinda funky looking with the nose logo being lower than normal, but I like funky!
