It figures that on one of the best days (weather wise) in the past several months, NS wouldn't run a thing worth getting excited about.  I piddled around the house most of the day, listening to the radio and hoping something besides a GE leading would run. Late this evening, the 76J Brown coal turn made its clockwork return, and even though I knew the Reading 1067 was trailing, I went out to get it..

The photo location is Vanarsdale, just down the road from the "White Fence" shot that I do waaayyyy to much. I had noticed earlier in the week that the land owner had been cleaning out all the trees and brush that had grown up between the road and the tracks, and decided to give it a try. This area used to be fairly well kept, but had grown up in the last few years....this is the first time I have shot here in well over 8 years (maybe more)

NS 76J at Vanarsdale Ky on the NS Louisville District...the 1067 will lead the empties back sometime tonight, and I might just have to run back out to the wye and try some night shots if its not to late..
