I spent the afternoon south of Burnside today and my last train of the day was 264 at KD Tower.  As I headed home I ran into 264 again facing 295 while they changed crews in Burnside.  So I hung around a few minutes and got it going by the church by the Burnside bridge and again about to head into the cut on the north side.

What's the track in the foreground in your 2nd pic? Is that a siding? It looks like it was recently shortened... but my eyes may be playing tricks on me.
Got questions? I can help you with the Erie Lackawanna (including predecessors), Lehigh Valley, Delaware & Hudson and the shortlines of upstate NY.

I'm not sure, but since it ends at the trees not to far behind me, I'm guessing a piece of a leftover siding from a building long gone.

The track remains is the lead for the old Burnside yard. Looks like they pulled up what yard was left to put in the new station/crew change building and parking lot. The new west side track is on the remains of the south end of the lead.
