A good portion of the system has been covered with snow over the past couple of weeks. Has anybody been
able to get out in it and get some snow shots? If you have show them off to those of us in the slightly warmer areas!

No snow here in SC, but it looks like it will be snowing in Virginia the week leading up to Christmas.  Since I'll be there I plan on checking out the action on the Blue Ridge and Altavisita districts.  Let it snow!!!

We are getting a pretty good storm here in Central KY tonight, but it started much to late for any pictures.  Its about 19 degrees out right now, with a couple of inches of snow on the ground, a nice steady 15 mph wind with gust to over 30 and snowing so hard I cant see across the back yard with my spotlight.

We are supposed to get another system the end of the week that is worse than this..maybe I can bag some trains then..

We finally started getting a little dusting. Hopefully the week before Christmas I can bag some snow shots from up in Ohio on the Pittsburgh Div Cleveland line.

Yesterday 4:58pm Jeffersontown Kentucky.. just about the limit of low light my p&s pos can handle. There's a dusting of snow, no leaves on the trees, and it's almost dark before 5pm. Winter in Kentucky summed up just about perfectly, depressing.

I haven't seen NS itself in the snow yet... but I did capture forrner NKP RS11 #863 (which is now #1802 on the Falls Road) rumbling through the snowy landscape of upstate NY 10 days ago. Check her out in the Vintage Rails subforum: http://www.jreb.org/ns/index.php?topic=7035.25
Got questions? I can help you with the Erie Lackawanna (including predecessors), Lehigh Valley, Delaware & Hudson and the shortlines of upstate NY.

Ah yes, Frisco! The place where they look at you like you are really lost or really know where you are going when you get there.
