October 9 saw me headed south on the CNO&TP in hopes of some fall color. It was a bit slow for NS, but I still managed to grab a few shots here and there.

For just the photos, keep reading.

First up was NS 117 at Oakdale, which had given its lead unit to 168.  That left a long hood forward Dash 8 as the leader.

Nothing else was going on, so I headed north and was able to get 48A at Bear Creek.  Its second unit was CEFX 6005, an ex-Soo Line SD60.

The busiest part of the day was around Mountain View and New River, where I caught trains 177 and 27W, respectively.

Up next was 229 at Sunbright.

And finally, 223 at Parkers Lake.
