After three cloudless mornings in a row Sunday was not so kind. The first stop was in Austell to catch an empty north bound coal drag NS 733 with solid BNSF power on the run around track. This is one of 30 plus train sets providing western coal to Georgia Powers plant Scherer in Juliette, Georgia.

This western coal drag had two units in DPU service.

Since the #1 main line was tied up with a parked grain train NS 285(KANSAS CITY /ATLANTA,GA-JAX,FL(FEC)heads south on the run around track to the #2 main.

A trip up to Whitaker Yard finds NS 215(CHICAGO,IL(LANDERS)-ATLANTA,GA)heading south onto the run around track after leaving a cut of cars on the storage tracks at the yard.

A look from the south end of the yard down the #1 IMF track at Whitaker Yard

NS 215 heading south on the runaround track over the crossovers at England toward downtown Austell with remaining cars for Inman Yard

From a top the overpass in Austell finds NS 231 (SAVANNAH,GA-AUSTELL,GA) heading north to Whitaker yard on the #2 main. Note the grain hoppers tied down on the #1 main.

Out to the west of Austell NS 24E (DALLAS,TX(KCS IDAAT2)-ATLANTA,GA) on the main line in Lithia Springs heads east toward Austell.

Further west in Douglasville NS 154 (BIRMINGHAM,AL-LINWOOD,NC) begins to slow down as they will set out two hoppers on the storage tracks east of downtown.

The last catch of the day is NS 290 holding the main line while NS 154 completes their work just a few miles to the east.

The last catch of the morning is NS 290 (MCCALLA, AL - CROXTON, NJ) holding the main line west of Douglasville while NS 154 completes their work just a few miles to the east.

Sorry for the photo quality. Just not a good morning cloud wise!!
