I have shared all of the stuff I shot up in Illinois at the beginning of the month (the Santa trains), and now here are a few odd's and ends...the B roll!

These are all things that don't really fit into any one category, and can be found in my "Rail Shorts" gallery on Pbase at this link.  http://www.pbase.com/kd4jsl/shorts12

NS Steel train 61A has just come off the mainline at Huntingburg Indiana, and is seen here at the small town of Dale on the "EB" branch, headed for the AK steel plant at Rockport Indiana. 12/07/12

A newly rebuilt SD60E #6905 with the funky looking cab at Righter, Illinois. 12/09/12

A Westbound NS train has just left Decatur,IL  and is running through the thick fog. 12/09/12

A Plymouth 25 ton switcher loads a couple of hoppers at the South elevator at Gibson City IL on 12/08/12. I have only come across a couple of these rare Plymouths, and NEVER saw one in this good of condition! These are almost the holy grail of critters.

A not so rare GE 45tonner, working at a RR scrap yard in Mount Vernon IL on 12/07/12 near the NRE shop. this little thing had a good job, and I watched it shove a couple of old UP GE's into the scrap yard to be cut up!

A Bloomer Line frog eyed EMD working the elevator at Sibley IL on 12/08/12

BC Rail 4624, some sort of odd looking, North of the border GE, on a CN train at Centrailia IL 12/07/12

Amtrak 31 makes a quick station stop at Centrailia IL on 12/07/12

Nice shots EM! BC Rail 4624 is a Dash 8 40CMu. Full cowled Canadian safety cab. Nice too see the IC SD70's have not all been painted yet either. Dan
