My weather app on my cell showed a sun with a fog ring around it so I decided to go outside and see for myself if we had finally had some sunshine again. I checked and there was no sun. Plenty of clouds. I was not sure about the fog so I headed up to the tracks. No fog either. But the light was set for a Westbound. I figured they were running some stuff in before 23G tied up the mainline for 2 hours.

First through was an autorack. The signals usually clear to green right after the train passes unless something else is still coming and as luck would have it the light changed from red to yellow and 15 minutes later went red again as a light power move came through. I am guessing this is the power returning to Youngstown yard after a drop off to the mixing center.

Location seen is the Hurstbourne Lane bridge right next to the giant cell phone tower just west of MP 286 on the Louisville District.

The signal went yellow and 15 minutes later red as another westbound came in.

This was a short mixed freight with a HH gp38-2 with a yellow door.

The light stayed yellow again but by this time it was raining and just too dark to try and take a photo so I gave up and headed back home.

3 trains in about 30 minutes was enough to hold me over until we get some sunshine again.

The yellow door probably has an interesting story behind it.

my guess is the old door let air blow in and needed to be replaced so they did. The door will get painted when the engine does.
