Title: Picture attachments
Post by: cjr9703 on February 02, 2010, 01:24:05 PM
What is the recommended best size for uploaded picture attachments?  I noticed that since the new forum software was implemented, anything larger than around 800 pixels wide makes the viewer have to scroll right and left to see the entire picture.  This is just something I noticed.

The software really doesnt give us the option to limit the physical size of an attachment. The only thing we have control over is the file size.  I suggest something around the standard 800 x 600 for most things, as this "should" display well on all monitors.

I have noticed that the size of the monitor you are using does effect if you get the little slider bars on an image. Here at home, I hardly ever get them, but if I look at something at work, I do,  If you want to embed a image instead if a upload, that seems to work better. I always choose to provide a link to a place where the "full size" image can be seen if someone wants to .
