Went over to North Carolina and Virginia last weekend for the first excursions on the year for NW 611.. It was a beautiful weekend all around, long and tiring, but as all death marches and steam trips go, so very worth it.. Below are just a few samplings of the trip, if you want to view more, you can check out my NW 611 Flickr Album here >>https://www.flickr.com/photos/46459752@N08/albums/72157653847657756 (https://www.flickr.com/photos/46459752@N08/albums/72157653847657756)

Very nice pics. Surprised my little boy with this ride Last Sunday.
Great photos! I really need to make a trip south to watch and/or ride behind this engine!

Stunning photos! You really captured the essence of a classic steam locomotive!
I looked at these and those of the 611 on your Flickr account. You make very nice pictures; good lighting, etc.
Great pics, I remember seeing 611 come through Hammond Indiana when I was a kid.
You should enter photo #2 in this month's contest!
