Title: NS on the Moffat Sub
Post by: butch on April 01, 2010, 01:01:11 AM
As I was heading back to Denver tonight about dusk, I saw a NS engine on a BNSF westbound train heading up towards Moffat Tunnel.  If it hadn't been so dark, I'd have chased it down for a photo.  Speaking of photos, I did find two Southern boxcars [see attached] on an eastbound this afternoon.  NS on the Moffat Sub, go figure...

OK, I saw another NS today and this time I got the pix to prove it.  It's coming through Byers Canyon and then "highballing" as they like to say.

I'm kind of mean that way. I spent Saturday hiking Tunnels 2-16.  Long day with only three trains, but was still fun.  I'll take your suggestion and post the FB link when I get through the rest of my pix.
