Just curious, did anyone go railfanning today since the traffic I would suppose would be nice and dense to make up for the little to no traffic yesterday. I kinda did, I did catch 123 I think. We stayed only a few minutes. It was unusual I was on top of Tunnel 24 at Nemo and the signal aspect was Approach which usually displays to show that there is nothing set up to enter the block or is in the block. I was on the top of the tunnel and I heard a very faint K-5LA horn from below me, and just in time, I cought the southbound just in time only seconds later.
Bei ngs my company was kind enough to send me to Charleston,WV with a Sams club load that didn't get unloaded till friday night Iwas at the Pilot in
Nitro,WV from wensday night till this morning. yesterday i caught 380 with the 9147 and 381 with 7627 meeting at Nitro. 381 only made from
Dickinson Yard to Nitro before he was rwcrewd by J6A. Weather wae horrible wind ,rain, snow and sleet which all melted as it landed.Saw the Nitro
job (J1J?) with 7108 go up and back in the middle of the night. This mourning before i had to start trucking I caught 381 headed north with the 9147
and he was going to Buck for the 9652 south . One unit and very short trains. Ther were 2 coal buckets at Dickinson on Turkey Day never heard which
way they went for sure, but the did hear the Bluefield DI mention a 52A. Mike
