Seeing how fall has come early to Central KY (at least temperature wise) and it was supposed to be mostly sunny (as usual, dont get me started on that) Carmon and Myself decided to head out and see what we could find movnig on the LS and CNO&TP. Traffic still seems to be down from what it should be, it was a failry busy afternoon. No novel tonight, here are the pics.
Eastbound steel train 60A had managed to get into trouble at Waddy, and then Lawrenceburg (KY) and was running late. He had 223 and 285 stacked up behind him, so we headed West to catch the parade. First up, the 60A gets moving again at Lawrenceburg.

Right behind 60A was the hot, and late, 223. We got him at the Cemetery crossing at East Lawrenceburg (KY)

And right behind 223 was 285 with a good leader (SD70M-2) so we decided to follow him East a ways..then South. Here is 285 at East Lawrenceburg.

285 again at Nevin Station.

Carmon + sunroof at Nevind leads to bad turtle joke.

We got back ahead of 285 again at Talmage...and got skunked by a cloud that was not suppose to exist, so you wont be seeing that one. Harrodsburg (KY) worked out a little better.

Another traffic jam had ensued at Danville with all the Southbounds getting in the yard about the same time, so me moved on down to Bowen to shoot the 215. Just for the record, this shot is not underexposed...those where some filthy catfish!

223 managed to sneak out of the yard right behind the 215 and snuck up on us. Here he is just out onto single track passing the South Fork Baptist Chucrh.

After 223, we shot the 285 one last time crossing the Green river bridge at South Fork KY.

A slightly altered in RAW version of the last shot.

Headed back North, we bagged the 117 and 23G as the came into the yard at Danville.

The last train was the Westbound 224 on the LS, which had a UP SD90Mac leading. 224 is seen here crossing the town branch "creek" at Harrodsburg.

Carmon trying to figure out what exactly flows in Town Branch "creek". The "flow" was the color of coffee and the consistency of molasses...nothing new really for this spot!

the full sized images will be on my PBASE gallery later tonight.
Very nice stuff. I'm still reading through all the captions...I like the detail.
