My son and I headed out yesterday afternoon looking for something to photograph since it was finally not raining in central Pennsylvania. At the Harrisburg fuel pad, NS 33A pulled in after the dispatcher instructed it to get all of it's extra units filled up . . . .

I heard the yardmaster at Harrisburg yard and the dispatcher say that there would be a few westbounds, so we headed out to a spot I like near Newport. A little while later, NS 23M came through with seven extra units along with it's normal load of double stacks . . . .

We were headed for MickyD's for dinner when another westbound poped up on the scanner. I dropped in at the block signals on the east side of Newport for a nice late afternoon shot . . . .

These three trains accounted for 19 NS units. There were others, many with more than two units. It looked like NS had a lot of extra power to play with this weekend.
