Since the sun was out and the temp was in the mid 50's I decided to head out and try my luck for a little while this afternoon. I didn't feel like going far so I just stuck around Johnstown for the outing. It didn't take long to get things started. The first train of the day was westbound freight 13G. I set for a shot of him coming down the straightaway just east of the train station in town at MP 275 of the Pittsburgh Line. The pair of catfish were getting the train slowed up to cut off the helper just east of downtown at CP C.

Not long after this a pair of eastbounds rolled past. First was 500 lead by a pair of catfish and then autorack 12N with a pair of blue units, CW40-8 and a SD60M. With this I decided to head east to CP C to catch pig train 23W rolling through the eastbound signals with, you guessed it, another catfish in the lead.

I then headed to the overpass just to the west of the signals to catch another pig train, this time 21M, with a deuce in the lead, snaking through the interlocking.

and a shot heading off into the sunset.

By this point the sun was pretty much done for the day, plus it was time for supper. Not too bad for about an hour long outing though.
