Over the past couple of weeks, we have had a frenzy of Heritage Units on the NS here in Central Kentucky, and as it seems to happen, its been the same Three!
At the end of April, the Illinois Terminal 1072 found itself on the regular 46G / 55A turn, then paired up with Penn Central 1073 on 22A this week. CNJ 1071 also made an appearance leading 22A into Louisville and then as the DPU on 23G the next day. All Three of these units have been somewhat rare in this area, so I tried to take advantage and get out and shoot as much as I could. As often happens, trains got delayed, ran at dark and so forth, making it a challenge, but I was pleased with the results.
