I went to see Blackberry Smoke (a great southern rock band) in Buffalo a little over week ago and stayed overnight so I could catch some train shots the next day. The morning was a sunny but frosty when I walked onto the Tifft Street bridge. It was 17 degrees! :o
That didn't seem to stop NS. Local H42 was already working.

Hanging out on the bridge was pretty tough in the cold, so I headed over to GB Diamond. I could wait in the Saturn (nice and warm) between trains.
NS 23K is heading westbound and about to pass the signal before crossing the diamond, with a newer ACe as the leader.

NS 14T moves over the Buffalo Southern east of the diamond. NS has had trackage rights on BSOR for many years. The auto racks are passing under a former PRR bridge in the foreground and a former Lehigh Valley RR bridge in the background.

NS local H42 was working, while NS 14T was parked... awaiting clearance to cross CP Draw.

CP Draw was really backed up. it took a while for NS 14T to leave. Afterward, Buffalo Southern's local and CSX eastbound intermodal arrive while NS 14M and a CSX tank train waited to cross the bridge. Maanwhile, NS H42 and the b&P local continued to switch:

I have seen BSOR drop off in NS's ayrd and NS H42 drop off in the BSOR yard, but this was the 1st time I saw the 2 RRs work together on an interchange:
