So, anyone following my Heritage Heads Up recently has learned that NS has sent quite a few of the Heritage Units to Delaware. For being an isolated tail end of their system... sure has been colorful!
First is the Reading Unit as the DPU on a 64R Crude Oil train crossing the newly installed diamond from the Delmarva Sec onto the Reybold Runner.
The next day, the Wabash Unit was tied down on an empty crude oil train on the "Del-Pro" siding which is just a couple hundred feet north of the diamond where the Delmarva Sec, Reybold Runner, and New Castle Sec all meet.
While the Wabash was tied down... a SD40-2(ex conrail) comes off the Reybold Runner and onto the New Castle Sec.
Then H50(Chrysler Yard to Reybold) local brings refinery traffic down the Delmarva Sec passing the end of the empty crude oil train with the Wabash Unit.
A pic of the line of tank cars on H50 crossing the diamond.
I followed H50 with the Southern Unit leading down the Reybold Runner.
More Southern!!!
Even more Southern!!!
And lastly, the crews swapped the Southern Unit for the PC Unit for H50. Here is another day's H50 with the PC Unit leading on the Delmarva Sec about 3 miles north of the diamond. Enjoy! DE Dan.
Nice shots
I have got to railfan that area, nice shots Dan!

Would you mind to provide a map reference for these locations?
Looks like you hit the jackpot, Dan. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks guys! PA Dan, come on down! LOL! Amzopff, The location is Newark, DE/Bear, DE/Reybold, DE(Delaware City Refinery). In Newark, DE... NS's Delmarva Sec leaves AMTK's NEC at DAVIS. It heads east 4-5 miles to Bear, DE where the it meets the New Castle Sec(coming from the north/Wilmington, DE/Edgemoor Yard), Reybold Runner(coming from the east/Reybold, DE/Del City Refinery) and turns south to head over the C&D Canal and down towards Harrington, DE(about 60 miles down state). Bear, DE is where the diamond is, DEL-PRO siding and Amtrak's Bear, DE Amfleet I/Acela Car repair facility. Hope this helps. Any other questions feel free to ask. DE Dan
