Title: NS 555608
Post by: jhicks7 on August 02, 2013, 01:44:29 PM
One of the cabooses used in Roanoke for operations in and out of the yard recently got a new paint job at FreightCar America. I snapped a quick picture with my iPhone on the way to work just now, but just wanted to share!

That's a slick looking paint job!

Thats pretty sharp...good to see an old hack get some fresh paint.

There is an old SR bay window cabb that lives in Danville KY, and is used for a shoving platform for yard crews when they go out to the paper plant on the other side of town...that poor thing could use some new paint to.

There's another caboose in Roanoke that crews use some too, maybe not as much, but the 555035 could use a new paint job as well. Wonder if it could be next?

Chattanooga diesel shop was supposed to paint 30 NS cabs ,  but plans changed.   They started repainting Dash 9`s instead.
