Title: NS museum visit in March 2012
Post by: dschlegel on December 27, 2012, 10:12:20 PM
I took my daughter, wife, father in law (UP Trainmaster out of Houston TX), his wife and her son to the NS HQ building to check out the museum (it was my second visit). Here are some photos and a video from our visit. If anyone is in the Norfolk area this is definitely worth a visit.
Check out the power assembly in comparison to my daughter, and note how well my she listens when I tell her to put it in Notch 8!

I found the Y6b builders plate to be the high point of my visit in October. To me, I thought for the size of the company, and building, the museum could have been a bit larger.

Something I found neat was this ribbon from Mauch Chunk, PA, which in the early 1950's changed its name to Jim Thorpe, PA. (https://www.jreb.org/ns/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F12%2F12%2F29%2Fdera7yge.jpg&hash=5c0070f2a3ceff5cf8ccfe37dc612e95952d848d)
