Last night I had one of my best friends and his wife and daughter over for a pre Christmas get together. He and I spent some time in my basement with my daughter and his at my layout. The girls loved it, and each ended up with a new UP hat (my father in law is a UP train master out of the Houston area and gets me hats all the time). In any case, here they are having a blast!(https://www.jreb.org/ns/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F12%2F12%2F17%2Fyzega4y9.jpg&hash=9c6a1109e13680add6d3e62302e388e051d8a251)

This is good to go. Its all about the kids. Nice job on the layout and the new fans.
I echo thpbears. The love for trains starts at an early age. My son gets angry when he has to leave the basement. The only way I can keep him happy is to sit him on top of an unfinished area of layout so he can watch the trains.

Cool picture! I used to have the same challenge with my daughter not wanting to head upstairs. Now I just tell her the trains are tired, and we both say good night to them. Then it's upstairs for potty, prayers, and bed. Then it's back to the basement for me!
Thats a nice pic to Ladder. Reminds me of my soon to be nine year old in his younger days.
