Title: Ticks 'n' things.
Post by: Ed Fury on April 08, 2011, 10:47:56 PM
Springtime heads up. The creepy crawlies are back out in full force. In case anyone plans to be out and about this weekend or in the upcoming weeks. I found a tick on me today after just standing in the grass near the tracks as a coal train came by.

Remember to pack that bug spray for those in rural areas.

I picked up one in the Rockies earlier this week-I thought it was to cool for them yet out there-guess not.

While I was in Texas way out in the country I expected to get ticks just about anytime I went traipsing through the woods.

I have heard about people getting chiggers when taking photos in the field next to the Pope Lick Trestle.

I never thought I'd get a tick crawling up my leg just by standing in a patch of grass in the city.

And while on this spring time train of thought.. those green leaves are already blocking my views and closing in the RoWs. Sure the green is colorful but it makes it harder to see those trains.

Hey Emmett, I thought about that when I found it.  If I go off grid in two weeks, you'll know what happened...
