I have finally gotten around to updating and organizing my CNO&TP images page (including pulling in some of the ones that I have on Railpictures.net).

Part of the upgrading was to create a separate page for the images shot this past weekend (primarily due to the fact that page one was getting a little full).

It was awesome to see some of NS's oldest and newest power running around on the CS.  The power on Friday's 123, which included an ex-Reading GP40-2 as the second unit, became the power for Saturday's northbound 55W.  The 179 on both days offered all-EMD quartets - Friday's included an MRL SD45; and Saturday's had a former N&W SD40 leading, among other units, a WC SD45R.  161 was a train straight from the North Pole - Santa was sending someone a bunch of Tonka toys (i.e. Cat equipment), as well as sending NS some new 70m-2's.  111 also had an SD70m-2, but unfortunately it had crapped out at Oakdale and had to be pulled from its leading position.  (as an interesting side note, amongst all of the radio traffic between the crew and the Power Desk, we had found out that these new units apparently have air starts on them).  Saturday's weather was crappy at best, so I had to get creative with the exposure to get half-decent shots.

Anyway, enjoy.
