Hi There:

It is January 3rd and it is time for my first trip report in 2007 and today was a perfect day out on NS.

Over to the north end of 2nd Dst:

215 had a BNSF(GE)/UP(EMD) combo at Miledgeville.
177-9757, 9713-Kings Mtn.
264- UP 5202, ES40DC 7532 (primer)-Waynesburg.

That was all I could muster.

Over to the Louisville Dst at Shuttleworth:
224-9456(solo), mostly empties at Shuttleworth. He had two units on the 2nd Dst but apparantly ran into some engine trouble at Danville.

A quick jaunt to the CS side for 53W:
C40-8 8701, 8733, 8709-Faulkner Rd

Chased 224 to Lawrenceburg, but the main focus was to see GP60 7147 before he left for Joyes. Did managed to say hi to Junior while he was switching the west-end of the wye between Woodford and Court Streets.

He asked if I was Buddy and I said, "Yep, the one and only"  ;D .
The T19 had to hold the main at Coal Chute for NS 23G. 23G had a trio of catfishes but there was a GP38AC 2838 trailing. So the chase was on to grab a photo of this soon-to-be dinosaur before it either goes to the scrap or to a shortline RR.

The nose of the unit has been peeled or covered over but the logo is still intact. I did manage to catch him just barely at Bohon Road crossing(Harrodsburg DD)

The photos from this day will be coming soon, as soon as tonight. I will let you know via this thread.

Until then, see ya.

Need to make one correction:

NS 177's lead unit was a 9787 not 9757.
Sorry for the confusion.
