Whilst driving home to NY yesterday, I was keeping a sharp eye and keen ear for anything that might be moving along the rails prior to all the holiday shutdowns.

I was rewarded by catching NS 290 South of Mount Holly Springs in Pennsylvania on the NS Lurgan Line as it passed through in very early morning fog.

Later in the day as I stopped in Binghamton, NY for a fuel/food stop, and I lucked out by catching a solid lashup of NYS&W power (including an old ALCO) leading a Northbound on the NS Southern Tier Line.

Nice little early Christmas present!  Not the greatest photos, I was more concerned with getting home to Upstate NY than I was train chasing.
