Five EMD GP's / A BN / NS & UP Heritage Units

As previously indicated in a post back in mid December I am catching up on track side trips after dealing with PC issues in late 2015. The Alabama East End and the Georgia Atlanta North End provided some great photo ops in 2015. 

NS 724 (GP WANSLEY GA Loaded Coal) south bound at CP Green siding MP 90.0H to the C-Line with Heritage S&A unit leading this train to Cedartown Depot. NS 334 holds the main for a crew swap.


NS A43 ( Anniston- Bremen Turn) with FIVE 4- Axle units consisting of GP38-2, GP38-3, GP40 and GP50's makes a reverse move west bound in the Bremen / Sewell block. They will head back east to the siding, couple up to a 42 car grain train they brought from Anniston and then head back west to the Waco grain silos.


NS A43 ( Anniston- Bremen Turn) heads west on Birmingham East End at the storage track dwarf signal.


NS 733 (GP SCHERER – PRB) empty coal drag to the BNSF heads west on the Alabama East End main line past CP Baggett MP 668.5


NS 66M (CALERA ALA- ATLANTA GA. Loaded Blue Circle Cement Train) NS 8017 with NS Heritage unit Norfolk & Western 8103 second out with a pair of KCS Belle units heads east at the Waco curve MP 688

NS 290 (MCCALLA, AL - CROXTON, NJ) with the NS 1071 Jersey Central Heritage unit at CP Temple MP 677.5 heads east on the Alabama East End.


NS 23E (ATLANTA, GA - DALLAS, TX (KCS IATDA2) west bound at Bremen by the East End storage track dwarf signal.


NS 23N (MEMPHIS – ATLANTA) south bound at CP Mabelton MP 137.9H with SP patched UP unit 6413 in the lead.


NS 154 (BIRMINGHAM, AL – LINWOOD, NC) heads east past CP Tallapoosa MP 695.2 with the Southern Heritage Unit 8099 in the lead.

NS A25 (Douglasville Local) heads west at MP 677 downtown Temple GA with BN SD40-2 (Acquired from Helm Leasing) still in original BN colors and hand painted NS number boards 3536.

NS22Q (ATLANTA, GA - NEW ORLEANS, LA) captured during a rare early morning hour move onto the Alabama East End out of Austell Jct.


NS 226 (LOS ANGELES, CA (UP ZLCAI) - ATLANTA, GA) at the Waco curve MP 688 east bound toward Bremen Ga.
