So I spent Friday & Saturday exploring the old Virginian Railway from Slab Rock to Kegley.
First the trackside numbers:
9-VRR Tunnels photographed
8-miles hiked
15-minutes of cell reception
6-VRR trestles photographed
5-deer
0-snakes
2-Heritage units [Southern & Erie-Elmore Yard pushers]
3-pushers returning across Garwood Trestle
1.5-actual trains photographed [.5 because it did have not enough loads to need pushers]
2-inches of snow at Clark's Gap Friday morning
361-number of days since the other time I saw the Southern unit
762-miles driven
1-really cool [lucky] photo

Here are shots of the Heritage Units at Elmore Yard, Friday's .5 train headed up to Clark's Gap coming out of Tunnel 12 across one of the trestles near Micajah, and Saturday's train emerging from Tunnel 9 [opposited side from Garwood Trestle.

And the cool photo I got lucky with-no Photoshop was involved.  I was reviewing my shots of the pushers returning across Garwood Trestle Friday evening and realized I captured my reflection on the windshield.

I forgot to note what Rebecca [wife] noticed, that both trains had the same lead power.
