There was some interesting activity yesterday at the Faulkner CP (MP110.5) on the south end of the NS Central Division, District 1. A steel coil consist, headed up by NS 9723, stopped for a long time just before Faulkner Road for remote fueling and a crew change. The radio chatter indicated that a southbound hot intermodal, headed by NS 8723, was going to be routed on Track #1 past the standing train and was to proceed no faster than 25MPH and to make a "lot of noise" as it passed the train at the crossing. The pic was taken from the "famous" Buster Pike wooden bridge a short distance south of the crossing.
