Title: First snow of the season in eastern PA
Post by: dschlegel on January 22, 2016, 09:35:38 PM
I took a short walk to see if I couldn't catch a train tonight in the snow here in Topton PA on the NS Reading Line.

I missed catching an eastbound stack train, but did take a few shots of town as the snow was starting to fall.

If all goes well I'll try to get some photos tomorrow and Sunday after I shovel the cars out.

Here's a few views of the station (now a breakfast/coffee shop), the White Palm Tavern, and our American Legion post.

Here's a couple of shots from this evening. First is the Main St crossing. Next is the station, and last is Tony's pizza and Italian restaurant. Needless to say it's a mess. Trains are moving though not as frequently as usual for a Saturday.
Stay safe and warm!

Oh yeah, I had to walk to get those shots. My car is somewhere to the left of the shovel.

Took another walk last night and grabbed a few shots. Here you go!
First is looking south towards the Main st crossing.
Next is the station.
Finally, the entrance to the local watering hole which remained open through the storm.
