TWC question

Hey you guys, I have a few questions concerning TWC. Was the use of "OS locations" on dark territory lines a thing? Or did NS have another system back then

I live along a Track Warrant Controlled line in east-central Indiana . . . so have been watching this thread to see what other "experts" on this site might post.  Perhaps the question(s) you posed were a bit vague.
