i'm trying to put a conon high hood on a proto 2000 gp30, and the hood is to high higher than the cab.  it also seems to be to long.  any one tryed this?

The Cannon high hood is not correct for the GP30.  The Cannon is designed for the 35-series and later.  If I recall correctly, the Cannon hood must be cut and spliced in at least 2 places to get it the correct height.  Even then you have to deal with moving the cowling on the roof back.  However, P2K has hooked us up with a VERY nice model in both phI(N&W) and phII(SOU).
