New Athearn Loco's Announced at Trainfest '13, Milwaukee, WI

In case you haven't heard, Athearn has announced they are producing EMD GP39X's/GP49's and post 2011 EMD SD70ACe's and SD70M-2's at Trainfest this past weekend in Milwaukee, WI. They will be releasing all six road numbers for the Southern GP39X's which subsequently were modified into GP49's under NS. The number series on both units was 4600 - 4605.

They also announced post 2011 SD70ACe's and SD70M-2's. Schemes will cover the CAT Demo unit #1201, the blue EMD demo units #1202 - 1205, UP SD70ACe's with the PTC antennae farm, CN SD70M-2's in the #8800 number series and most importantly NS SD70ACe's covering #1025 - 1064.

These units will all be available DCC ready or DCC equipped with Sound. Pricing is going to vary depending on your preferred supplier. Expected delivery schedule is mid-2014.
