Does anyone know if NW 1804 was every painted in the NW block scheme (F6) as produced by Athearn? I've seen many of the 180X series in the Norfolk & Western spelled out scheme (F8) but haven't seen photos of 1804 in the block scheme. I assumed this is why Athearn changed road numbers from 1806 to 1804. Thanks.

Yes, the 1804 definitely was painted in the black with white NW scheme. I have a crappy print of it here in the photo file. :)
