"Safety, Service, and Stewardship" – a message from CEO Jim Squires



Dear Fellow NS Railroaders:



On my first day as Norfolk Southern's CEO, I want to say what an honor it is to serve with you on the Thoroughbred team.



Your skill, dedication, and initiative give me total confidence we will seize all the great opportunities in store.



Our strategy is clear: Safety, Service, and Stewardship.



We will work safely, so we all come home.



We will serve our customers, so they want to give us their business.



We will be good stewards for our owners, so they continue to put their trust in us.



On my first day as CEO, I hope you'll join me in thanking my predecessor, Wick Moorman.  Wick personifies the best of Norfolk Southern.  Our job is to build on his many accomplishments.



Thank you for working safely.  Thank you for serving our customers.  Thank you for being good stewards for our owners.  We are a diverse and inclusive team.  You have my full support.  I'll do my best to earn yours.
